Safe Harbor HoldCo was founded by Michelle and Timothy Sullivan to acquire and operate established businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region.
We are not a private equity firm and we are not building a portfolio. We are long-term operators committed to preserving what already works while strengthening the systems that support it.
Our goal is simple: provide founders with a professional, stable transition and lead their company responsibly into its next chapter.
Michelle D. Sullivan, Ph.D.
Technical & Strategy Lead
Michelle brings over 15 years of experience in laboratory leadership and regulated technical environments. A Ph.D. chemist with expertise in ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems, she has led high-compliance teams and enterprise-level modernization initiatives. Her focus is safeguarding technical integrity, maintaining rigorous quality standards, disciplined processes, and operational continuity through transition and long-term ownership.
Timothy P. Sullivan
Operations & Compliance Lead
Timothy is a senior executive with more than 24 years of leadership experience in high-compliance healthcare organizations. Having served in senior roles within Fortune 500 and multi-state healthcare systems, he has overseen regulatory compliance, vendor strategy, risk management, and operational infrastructure. His focus is ensuring disciplined governance, financial oversight, and operational stability throughout transition and long-term ownership.
Our Vision for the Future
We chose the name Safe Harbor because we aim to be exactly that: a stable, reliable destination for a founder’s legacy. We don't believe in "fixing" what isn't broken. Instead, we use our backgrounds in Lean Six Sigma and modern digital transformation to remove administrative friction and modernize legacy workflows.
By applying the same rigor to human capital and data that we have applied to government infrastructure and healthcare portfolios, we ensure that the businesses we lead are not just profitable, but sustainable for the long term.
